Privacy Policy
What you type stays on your phone. JustFavs makes two keyboards: JustFavs Keyboard and JustFavs Emoji Keyboard, for iPhone, iPad and Android. Neither one collects, stores on a server, or sends anywhere what you type, your favorite emojis, or how you use your keyboard. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no ads and no tracking.
What we collect
From the apps and keyboards: nothing. We don’t have servers that receive keyboard data, and neither keyboard connects to the internet.
From this website: only what you choose to send us. If you join the launch updates list, we receive the email address you enter and which updates you asked for. If you email us, we receive your message and email address.
What stays on your device
These are saved only on your phone or tablet, inside the JustFavs apps’ own storage, and are never sent to us or anyone else:
- Your favorite emojis, their order and your skin tone
- Your keyboard settings: accent color, theme and symbol layout
- Your text replacements
- Words JustFavs Keyboard learns for its personal dictionary, next-word suggestions and swipe typing
Deleting the app deletes all of it.
On iPhone and iPad, JustFavs Keyboard can also use the Text Replacements you’ve set up in iOS Settings. iOS hands these to the keyboard on your device, and they never leave it.
“Allow Full Access” on iPhone and iPad
iOS shows an Allow Full Access switch for keyboards from other companies. Both JustFavs keyboards work without it.
In JustFavs Keyboard, turning it on does one thing: it lets changes you make inside the keyboard (reordering favorite emojis, adding favorites from the emoji search, and words the keyboard learns) be saved and shared with the JustFavs Keyboard app, and lets the gear key open the app. With Full Access on or off, the keyboard makes no network connections, doesn’t read your clipboard, and doesn’t send what you type anywhere.
Android
When you turn on any keyboard that isn’t built into your phone, Android shows a standard warning that the keyboard “may be able to collect all the text you type.” Android shows that for every keyboard. JustFavs doesn’t collect your text; everything described on this page applies on Android too.
For autocorrect on Android, JustFavs Keyboard uses the spell checker that’s built into your phone, which is chosen in your Android settings.
Purchases
Unlocking JustFavs Keyboard or unlimited favorites in JustFavs Emoji Keyboard is handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We never see your name, payment details or Apple / Google account. The apps only learn whether you’ve unlocked, so they can switch the features on. Your free trial is tracked on your device.
Crash reports
We don’t add any analytics or crash-reporting tools to the apps. If you’ve chosen to share app analytics with developers in your iPhone or Android settings, Apple or Google may send us anonymous crash reports. These never include what you type.
This website
justfavs.app is hosted by Netlify. The launch updates form uses Netlify Forms to receive and store what you submit. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. These providers may receive normal technical information, like your IP address, needed to show you the website. The site uses no cookies of its own, no analytics and no advertising.
We never sell your email address, use it for advertising, or combine it with anything else.
Children
The JustFavs keyboards don’t collect data from anyone, including children. The optional launch updates list is meant for people old enough to sign up for emails themselves.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from launch emails using the link in any of them, or email hello@justfavs.app and we’ll delete your email address from the list.
Changes to this policy
If anything about how JustFavs handles data ever changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
